Do I need a crypto wallet?

No. You can claim collectibles and stamp approvals without any wallet. If you want to manage your collection, you can connect a NEAR wallet — but it's never required.

What does "stored permanently" mean?

Collectibles and approval stamps are recorded on the NEAR blockchain. That means no server to shut down, no subscription to expire, no company that can delete your data. It's there forever.
